Reasons Why Adventure Time Is The Greatest Show On Earth:

1. It has a very serious, sad story behind it.

  • Though never explained on television, creator Zack Ward has stated that the show takes place on Earth, albeit after a nuclear war has broken out and placed the world in a post-apocalyptic state where Russia has been obliterated off the surface of the planet.

The show is set in a fictional continent called the “Land of Ooo” and, although it is not explicitly stated in the show, it takes place in a post-apocalyptic world some time after a nuclear war called the “Great Mushroom War.” According to Ward, the show takes place “after the bombs have fallen and magic has come back into the world”.

2. It is instilled with a wisdom far beyond children’s grasp.

  • Adventure Time has tackled serious topics such as death, the afterlife, love, and general life lessons. Countless quotes come from the series, the most well-noted outside of which is a quote from character Beemo (BMO).

When bad things happen, I know you want to believe they are a joke. But sometimes, life is scary and dark. That is why we must find the light.

Now tell me that shit ain’t wise as hell.

3. It’s just plain bad-ass.

  • Not only is Finn an admirable role model filled with strong morals dedicated to righteousness, but he carries around a sword to help fight evil-doers. A FUCKING SWORD. Doin’ flips and shit, slicing up bad guys that include, but are not limited to:
  • Trees
  • Spiders
  • Ghosts
  • Hunson Aberdeer, who is basically just Satan. (Yes, this kid fights Satan AND WINS like a boss.)
  • Demons
  • Crystal people
  • Zombies
  • More trees

4. It teaches how to have valuable, meaningful relationships.

  • The original series was call Adventure Time with Finn & Jake, because Finn has a best friend/brother named Jake whom he can always count on. The two are virtually inseparable, and are the best pairing of people, real or fictional, on the planet. They always look out for each other, which teaches children that they can always count on the best friend.

So any time anyone tells you that Adventure Time is for children, tell them they’re wrong.

Cards Against Humanity is a party game for horrible people.

Unlike most of the party games you’ve played before, Cards Against Humanity is as despicable and awkward as you and your friends.

The game is simple. Each round, one player asks a question from a Black Card, and everyone else answers with their funniest White Card.

And it is distributed under a Creative Commons license, meaning it is not only free to play, but remixing, and changing the game are more than just encouraged.

The official hard copy has been sold out for a while now, but a PDF of all the cards, and instructions distributed by the creators for making your own deck can be found here.

You’re welcome, and enjoy!

In 1934, a Swedish archeologist discovered hundreds of ancient mummies buried under boats in a mysterious cemetery in a remote desert in the Xinjang region of China. The location, which is featured rivers and lakes thousands of years ago, was lost until 2000, and researchers began to excavate the area in 2003. They found the body of a woman thought to have died almost 4,000 years ago, who has become known as the most beautiful mummy in the world, owing to incredible well-preserved features that even include her eyelashes.
